Paddlefest is Southeastern Wisconsin’s premier on-water test paddling event. Our Milwaukee store, located in the heart of Downtown plays host to this annual event on the Milwaukee River. We combine our rental and demo fleets of canoes and kayaks with those of our manufacturers’ sales representatives’ to provide you with the widest selection of boats to look at, sit in, and test paddle.
This year, in addition to a number of seminars that will help you find the right gear and teach you how best to use it, we are offering a series of New Paddler Mini-clinics. These mini-clinics are intended for brand new paddlers who are looking to get started and would like some personalized help before they get out on the water. Paddlers of all experience levels can brush up on their skills with seminars like Efficient Forward Stroke for Kayakers or the "'Sit & Switch" Method of Canoeing. If you’re looking for some general information, than be sure not to miss Rob Smage’s Intro to Wisconsin Whitewater, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary’s VHF Radio 101, or any of the on-water demonstrations we have lined up.
