Laacke & Joys / Midwest Airlines Plane Pull to benefit the MACC Fund

On September 29, 2007 a record 30 teams and hundreds of spectators gathered to compete and PULL a Midwest Airlines jet weighing more than 82,000 pounds at the Midwest Airlines hanger at Mitchell Field.
The goal?? To pull the aircraft 15 feet across the tarmac in the fastest time!
This year, The Cyclones won the challenge with a time of 7.9 seconds. Each member of the 12 person co-ed team won round trip tickets courtest of Midwest Airlines while the second place winners won The North Face daypacks courtesy of Laacke & Joys. The Cyclones teams anchor, Tim Kujawa, is a childhood cancer survivor who lost part of his arm to sarnovial cell carcinoma. While The Clyclones one first place, the true winners were a team of childhood cancer survivors who pulled the plane!
Since 2003, proceeds of nearly $45,000 have been contributed to the MACC Fund - Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer through this event.
Take a look at some of the fun pictures below.
We look forward to seeing you in September 2008!
