Dawn Glanc Biography:

Glanc, 32, was born and raised in Brunswick, Ohio and went on to attend Black Hills State University

where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Outdoor Recreation in 1998. It was in college where Glanc's

passion for climbing truly grew. Upon graduation she moved to Bellingham, Washington, and became

a mountain guide with America Alpine Institute. Glanc has climbed in the northern Cascades, eastern

Sierras, Red Rock Canyon, Joshua Tree, Ouray, Colorado, Alaska and Canada. Glanc has climbed

and guided 200 days a year, for the past two years, and has led three Denali expeditions. Most

recently she won second place in the women's division of the Ouray Ice Festival. Dawn is an

AMGA-certified rock guide pursuing full UIAGM certification.
